If These Walls
Could Talk
16 November 2022
“If These Walls Could Talk” was my third solo exhibition, which opened at BLACKCAT Gallery in Melbourne, on Thursday the 16th of November 2022.
This new collection of paintings combined traditional materials and methods with a modern aesthetic; encapsulating bold colours, playful characters, familiar shapes, and recurring symbols to create a collage-like visual language.
I fostered meaningful connections between time and place, while exploring the dialogue between the viewer and their surroundings.
Interpreting the interplay of the city laneways, I processes its perpetual renewal - as it celebrates change. These forms, techniques, and tactics cross-pollinate to give each surface a unique vocabulary; creating an abstract composition of fragmented conversations.
